I’m working on a writing report and need a sample draft to help me study.

Your purpose in the argument may be to show relationships between things (causal argument), to explain or define something (definition argument), to evaluate something (evaluative argument), to sway an audience to take action on something (persuasive argument), or to accomplish some combination of these goals. You should review the advice of Ballenger, Roberts-Miller, and Jones about writing an effective argument.
