Paper Instructions. Students must submit a Paper and a video in Blackboard.

In your paper, ensure you consider how you going to advise MSU C-Suite to create value, inspire others, problem solving, and influencing their employees to adopt the contingency plan points for explaining each leadership skills.

Your response must be in a video (do not submit a voice recording, that is not a video submission format) submission format. What does that mean, you need to record your response by showing your faces and your voice and submit in the dropbox.

Your paper should have a minimum of 2 pages. You need to follow APA format (cite the source both in the text as well as on a separate reference page), check thoroughly for grammar and punctuation, and most importantly, make sure you answer the entire question asked. Avoid “brain dumping” – if there is a specific question on a topic, do not spit out everything you know on the topic; keep it limited to information that answers the question. If the question has multiple parts, make sure you answer each of them. These are based on concepts discussed in class, but they are first and foremost research-based assignments. Your paper should consist of 5 sources, which should not include your text. Please consult the rubric for the assignments before starting them, so you have a full understanding on how you will be evaluated.

Practical Example / Evidence of the Four Basic Management Functions in Your Management Class

Imagine that your management class is an organizations and that your instructor is the manager. How are the four (4) functions of management evident in this class?

1. In terms of planning, the goals for the course have likely been approved by a group of instructors, and the course is designed to fit into students’ overall program of study. The strategy for delivering the course has also been planned, whether it is by correspondence, by distance education, or via the traditional in-class attendance method.

2. In terms of organizing, the instructor has prepared a course outline, assigned chapters to read, provided a series of projects and exams for students to complete according to deadlines, and so on. The instructor tries to ensure that students have adequate resources available to complete assignments, such as library materials and time (e.g., instructors recognize that students have responsibilities and time commitments beyond this management course). Where appropriate, instructors may organize students into study groups.

3. In terms of leading, the instructor strives to deliver course material in an engaging and motivating manner. The instructor may also interact with students outside of class individually or in small groups during office hours, or while working on small-group activities and projects.

4. In terms of controlling, the instructor monitors whether students are keeping up with learning objectives by administering quizzes, assignments, and exams. Students use these same checkpoints to monitor their own performance. Input from an end-of-term course evaluation can help the instructor improve the course the next time the class is taught. Student’s behavior may also be controlled by external factors to which the instructor draws their attention, such as suggestions that higher grades may translate into better job offers whey they graduate.
