1- I took a myths and legends course for an elective 2 years in high school and it was pretty interesting to me. We only focused on a few gods like Hercules and Perseus but we focused on other gods too. I see some similarities between Greek mythology and Norse mythology. I don’t remember much from the courses I took in high school so it will be cool to get a refresher reading through this book.
2- In middle school we had a lesson on greek mythology. We focused mainly on Posiden, Apollo, Aphrodite, Hercules, etc. I do not remember much about the stories except that each god had a flaw that made them similar to humans. I also remember that all the gods were intertwined from romantic relationships to siblings.
3- I have some knowledge about Greek Mythology. I knew of Zeus with his lightening bolt and of his jealous wife, Hera, of Apollo, Poseidon and Hades. I recall Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and Athena and Ares, the gods of war. I knew them as Olympiads. I believe I first read of the gods in middle school, a library book checkout, and of course, the movie, The Clash of the Titans. I knew in Greek culture, smashing of dishes is an acceptable form of celebration. I did not know it came from the gods.
